Terms & Conditions

Recognition packages may be customized. Member-years are only valid for the named year of memberships. Once a member-year has been assigned to an individual, that member-year is non-refundable and non-transferable. Corporations must identify the recipient of each member-year to AST prior to their year of membership. Each corporation purchasing member-years is responsible for designating a single Point of Contact for the AST to interact with in managing member-years. Individuals receiving a member-year must agree to the AST code of ethics.

Sponsorship of AST does not imply AST backing, supporting, or promoting the sponsoring organization’s products or services.

Member-years

A member-year is one year of AST membership for one person purchased for that person by a corporation. AST member-years are subject to the following rules:

  • Member-years are only valid for full year memberships.  Once a member-year has been assigned to an individual, that member-year is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • A corporation will identify the recipient of each member-year to AST prior to their year of membership commencing.
  • The individual receiving a member-year must agree to the AST code of ethics prior to them being recognized by the AST as a member of the AST.
  • Once an individual is named by a corporation as being the recipient of a member-year, and the AST acknowledges that individual as accepting the member-year and agreeing to the AST code of ethics, that individual shall be recognized as a regular voting member of the AST with all the rights, privileges and responsibilities thereof.
  • Once purchased, unused member-years shall not expire.

Each corporation purchasing member-years is responsible for designating a single Point of Contact (PoC) for the AST to interact with in managing member-years.  The AST Executive Director, Secretary, and/or Membership Committee Chairperson shall maintain the AST records of corporate member-years, but it is strongly recommended that the corporation additionally maintain records of AST member-years purchased and used.

*Note* AST Member-year policies are non-negotiable.
