AST Needs Your IT Skills
AST is a great organization, and we can be even better with your help. AST is looking for someone to help with technology and IT needs. This includes server maintenance, technology solutions, and infrequent coding. This volunteer would work with our Technology chairperson and learn the systems that are currently in place and help with new solutions as the need arises.
Someone in this role would likely need experience in some or all of the following:
Setting up Unix (Ubuntu) servers
- Apache and Nginx (or similar)
- PHP and WordPress
- Ruby and other programming languages
- Mildly Knowledgable in Unix security practices
Having experience with the following apps is helpful but not necessary:
- VBulletin
- MailChimp
- 123Signup or similar
- Moodle
- MediaWiki
