The theme for CAST 2013 is “Old Lessons applied and new lessons learned: advancing the practice and building a foundation for the future.”

What we learn from our experiences helps shape us as human beings. What we learn from the experiences of others can give us new insight and new perspectives.

The industry we work in is multifaceted and the technologies we work with are rapidly changing. Some testing truisms stand up over time. Some fall into obsolescence as others rise to take their place. We would like to hear your experiences, stories, thoughts, observations, demonstrations around the lessons that you have learned in Software Testing, as well as how these could influence the way that we approach testing in the future.

Call for Participation

We invite you to share your experiences with your fellow testers at CAST 2013. How have the changes in the technologies we test affected you? What have you done to adapt and continue to provide value?

We are seeking abstracts and proposals in line with the conference theme for either a presentation of up to 45 minutes, with 20 minutes of question time, OR a workshop of 2 hours. The theme is broadly set to provide a wide scope for submissions, however we do request that proposals be specifically about your experiences in the field.

Submissions should include:

• Title
• Proposal type: Presentation / Workshop
• Proposal summary
• Key ideas/outcomes you want to share with the attendees

Important CFP Dates

December 1, 2012 – Proposal process open.
February 1, 2013 – Submission deadline for track session proposals.
February 18, 2013 – Notification of program acceptance or rejection for track sessions.
