We are soliciting tutorial proposals for Monday, 8 August in Vancouver – the day before CAST 2016. We prefer half-day proposals, but will accept full-day proposals as well.
We are hoping to receive proposals that are well-thought out and likely to attract attendees. Your tutorial should be interesting and valuable for experienced testers.
Submitting Your Tutorial
Proposals for CAST 2016 are now closed. We hope to announce the conference and program in early March.
Tutorial leaders will receive a $1000 honorarium for a half-day tutorial, and $1500 for a full-day. We also offer up to $1500 in travel expense reimbursement, and free admission to the CAST conference.

February 15, 2016 – Request for for Tutorials Closes
March 1, 2016 – Selection will be complete. Leaders will be informed shortly afterwards.
Context and Advice
Good tutorials are not simply extended speaking sessions, and good speakers are not necessarily good teachers. Leaders of tutorials are charged with the responsibility of helping attendees of their tutorial achieve learning objectives. A different set of skills is required.
There is an additional commercial dimension provided by the process where attendees select specific tutorials and pay for that specific content. Selection for tutorials will be based on what is likely to draw, and what is likely to satisfy paying customers. Merit AND reputation matter.
