Anne-Marie Charrett is a software tester, trainer and coach with a reputation of excellence and passion for Quality and the craft of software testing. An electronic engineer by trade, software testing chose her when she started testing protocols against European standards.
Anne-Marie advocates a whole team approach to Quality. She sees Software Testing as a skilled activity that many might perform. She trains & coaches companies to embrace this approach to quality and to develop software testing skills best suited to the context they work in.
In the past, Anne-Marie has developed software testing courses and lectured at the University of Technology, Sydney, and ran the Sydney Testers Meetup. She blogs at Maverick Tester and offers tweets @charrett

Fiona Charles teaches organizations to manage their software testing risk, and IT practitioners project skills “beyond process” – hands-on practical skills essential to thrive and excel on any kind of software project. Sigge Birgisson is a Quality Assistance engineer at Atlassian. For the last 3 years he has been working with several of the development tools products, the latest addition being Bitbucket Pipelines, putting CI/CD next to your code repository. Sigge has spoken at several international conferences including CAST 2012 and Agile 2012 and has also been on the program committee for Oredev for four years. Craig Smith has been an Agile Practitioner, Coach, Software Tester and Developer and one of Australia’s premier Agile and Testing trainers for over ten years. As a co-organiser of the Agile Brisbane Meetup Group, advisor of Agile Australia, co-chair of one of the world’s leading Agile Podcasts and an Agile Editor for InfoQ, Craig is one of Australia’s heaviest contributors to the Agile community. Craig has presented at numerous conferences including Agile 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2013 on agile and testing topics. He has also presented at Agile Australia from 2009-2016, STANZ and Let’s Test as well as numerous other conferences and meetups across the world. Craig specialises in all facets of Agile and testing training, executive coaching and technical excellence by helping teams move quality to the left.
Meet the CASTx17 Conference Chairs. Alessandra and Ilari are the connection to the board of the AST. Their job involves setting of budgets, selecting keynotes and tutorials, anything concerning the location and other admin tasks. They are both very excited to organize the first CAST outside the American continent.

Alessandra Moreira is a test consultant with 16 years experience. Ale is highly involved in the software testing community and dedicates time to causes that have the potential to improve the software testing industry in a global, community or individual level. Ale’s passion is for the people side of testing, in teaching how each tester can reach their full potential, in turn raising the bar in the whole industry. She enjoys sharing her experiences by speaking at conferences, blogging at roadlesstested.com and is @testchick on Twitter.
Ilari Henrik Aegerter
Ilari Henrik Aegerter’s formal studies have brought him from General Linguistics and Sociology to Software Engineering and Software Testing. He has 10+ years of experience in the field, coming from the medical software domain at Phonak AG and progressing to e-commerce at eBay. He is now the Managing Director of House of Test GmbH and he believes that there is still a lot of work to be done for excellent software testing. In 2013 he co-founded the International Society for Software Testing (ISST), which advocates for bringing back common sense to testing. In 2015 he was elected into the board of the Association for Software Testing (AST) where he acts as VP of Marketing.
